The Boys Cast Welcomes Gen V Cast in New Video

The Boys Cast Welcomes Gen V Cast in New Video

Class is almost in session for Gen V, the college spinoff series set in The Boys‘ universe. There will be secrets, blood, and even a puppet in the mix of whatever’s going down at Godolkin University. It’s safe to say that Marie Moreau and her fellow students could use some words of wisdom and comfort as they embark on a brave new journey. Never fear, a few familiar faces are here to do that for them. Behold this video of The Boys cast welcoming the Gen V cast into the fold in a hilarious and lowkey offensive way.

Actors Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), Antony Starr (Homelander), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Jessie T. Usher (A–Train), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett), Claudia Doumit (Victoria Neuman), and Cameron Crovetti (Ryan) wish everyone a warm and seemingly normal welcome. That is, until a few of them give the classic salute of The Boys: a middle finger. Some of them double up on it for extra care and affection. We can already feel the warm and fuzzy feels brewing between The Boys and Gen V casts.

Jessie T. Usher doles out solid advice about avoiding early morning classes. Jack Quaid also gives necessary tips on how to clean up loads of blood. Apparently, shampoo, shaving cream, and two showers will do the trick. Marie Moreau’s power in Gen V is blood manipulation, so this advice from The Boys star will come in handy. Karen Fukuhara tells them to not trust Vought but, of course, Colby Minifie says they should always trust Vought. She does portray the very–shady CEO of Vought International,so that totally checks out.

The Boys cast wishes the Gen V cast the best of luck in the video and encourages them to make good grades. We are sure they won’t have time to study because, well, everything is fucked at God U.

The new animated series from Adult Swim and Max follows Clark Kent in his early days at The Daily Planet alongside Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.

Jack Quaid is perhaps best known as a hater of superheroes on The Boys. Now, he’s going to portray the biggest superhero of them all.

The new trailer for Adult Swim’s upcoming animated series My Adventures With Superman finds Quaid lending his voice to the Man of Steel. Quaid’s Clark Kent is joined by Alice Lee as Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. The three are newcomers at The Daily Planet in the series, and Lois sees the newly–arrived Superman as their key to graduating to “real reporters.”

So far, Lois has no idea that Superman himself works right beside her – though the fact that Clark’s clumsiness inadvertently triggers his powers could very well tip her off.

“I can do this! I’m gonna hide my powers and be a normal man having a normal day, starting now,” the hero says in the new trailer, right before accidentally ripping the handle off a door.

My Adventures With Superman was originally announced in 2021, alongside Batman: Caped Crusader. The latter show was canceled by HBO Max last year, but saved by Amazon. It will probably be a while before we see anything from it, but Quaid’s Man of Steel will be soaring this summer.

My Adventures With Superman will premiere with back–to–back episodes at midnight on Adult Swim on Thursday, July 6, with new episodes following every Thursday after that and streaming the next day on Max. Check out the key art below and the trailer above.

Jack Quaid Debuts as Superman in Animated Series

Jack Quaid Debuts as Superman in Animated Series

We never thought we’d see the day! “Wee” Hughie has become a supe.

Jack Quaid, who stars as vigilante supe–slayer Hughie Campbell on Amazon’s R–rated satire The Boys, is now playing the most famous of supes ever, Superman, in an upcoming DC animated series. Quaid’s Man of Steel makes his debut in a teaser that dropped Thursday for My Adventures With Superman, coming to Adult Swim and HBO Max.

The footage, though brief, sees the Kryptonian strongman thwarting a bank heist involving a metahuman and quickly checking on the safety of two bystanders, Lois Lane (Alice Lee) and Jimmy Olsen (Ishmael Sahid).

My Adventures With Superman is going to be a coming–of–age story for Clark Kent, who’s in his 20s forming an investigative reporting team with Lois and Jimmy at The Daily Planet. It’s all about Clark building his secret identity, while exploring his origins and falling in love with Lois, who gets closer and closer to discovering Clark’s true self while becoming a star reporter.

Then cut over to the Prime Video streaming platform, where a live–action Quaid always seems to be covered in the blood of whatever out–of–control superhero he just blew up with an anal pipe–bomb on The Boys. Quaid’s got a healthy balance going on.

My Adventures With Superman also marks the latest voice performance from the actor, who’s also a mainstay on the animated Star Trek: Lower Decks. A premiere date for the DC show has not been announced. It’s just “coming soon” at this stage.

Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) executive produces My Adventures With Superman, and Jake Wyatt (Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus) and Brendan Clogher (Voltron: Legendary Defender) co–executive produce. Josie Campbell (She–Ra and the Princesses of Power) is a co–producer.
